Scriptura typus: quod Aben-Ezra ibicem, bootius urum; Alii monocerotem, sed Arabes, Chaldaei, et veteres Hebraei communiter capreae speciem esse contendunt. Et quidem Damir c. de caprea, Diversi, inquit, coloris sunt capreae. Nempe illarum tres sunt species: Prima earum, quae vocantur arâm, quae sunt sincerae albedinis; cuius singulare est Rim. He in arenis habitant. Easdem aiunt capreatum esse oves, quia plurimum habent carnis et pinguedinis. A qua Arabem quendam Princivem, Zachaeum nomine, Camili Catiensis filium, qui obirt anno Hegirae DXLVI. cognominatum fuisse Rimicidam, Alasmaius resert; eo quod huius animalis venatione maxime delectaretur. Atque ita Reem esset capreae species, eaque nobilissima, tum coloris (non enim albet solum, sed et candicat) tum pinguedinis ratione, Nec improbat sententiam Bochartus, qui voce hâc bicornem Capream, seu Orygem indigitari, Pluribus it probatum, Hieroz.
